Welcome to the Office of Research Compliance
Great research changes lives, and great research is built on integrity. At the University of Central Arkansas, we believe that curiosity and ethics grow together. The Office of Research Compliance exists to help faculty, students, and staff pursue bold questions with confidence, knowing their work reflects the highest standards of honesty, rigor, and respect for the people and communities it touches.
Integrity is not a hurdle to clear on the way to discovery. It is what makes discovery meaningful. When research is conducted responsibly, findings earn trust, collaborations flourish, and the public’s faith in scholarship deepens. That trust belongs to all of us, and every member of the ÍøÆØÃÅ community plays a part in protecting it.
Our office partners with faculty oversight committees, including the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), to guide researchers through human and animal subjects protections, conflicts of interest, intellectual property, and export control. We also work alongside the University Research Council, a body of faculty representing every college, whose leadership helps champion a thriving and responsible research culture across campus. But our role goes beyond regulations. We are here to equip every ÍøÆØÃÅ researcher with the tools, knowledge, and support to do research the right way, from the first question to the final publication.
Whether you are a seasoned investigator or a student designing your first study, we invite you to see integrity as your greatest research asset. Bring us your ideas. We will help you pursue them with excellence.
