As we move closer to full implementation of Brightspace, now is the time to make sure your live course shells are ready for students.
In Brightspace, you may notice several types of courses in your course list: your sandbox, training resources, migrated courses, and live course shells. The most important thing to know:
If your course looks empty, don’t worry! You’ll simply need to move your materials from your sandbox or migrated course into your live course.
Once copied, be sure to review your course layout and confirm everything appears as expected before publishing to students.
We’ve created a simple, visual guide to walk you through the process:
If you’d like support, CETAL is happy to help! We can walk through this process with you or review your course before the semester begins.

Graduation is a major milestone, and we want to make sure every student has the opportunity to participate.
Through the Gowns for Grads initiative, a limited number of cap and gown sets are available for students who may have difficulty purchasing their own. Priority will be given to students who are Pell Grant eligible and/or first-generation college students.
The application is open from April 3 through April 17, and all submissions will be reviewed after the deadline.
If this resource would help you or a student you know participate in commencement, we encourage you/them to apply!!!
