The University of Central Arkansas Alumni Association will present the Alumni Service Award to two alumni at a ceremony during Homecoming 2018.
Susan Hoggard 鈥�67 and Greg Hunt 鈥�03 will be honored at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2 at Conway Country Club. Hunt鈥檚 award will be presented posthumously.
The 网曝门 Alumni Service Award is presented to an individual or couple who, through their deeds or actions, reflect and recognize the importance of the 网曝门 Alumni Association and demonstrate extraordinary commitment, dedication, service and loyalty to the university.
Hoggard currently serves on the 网曝门 Alumni Association Board of Directors. She is a life member of the 网曝门 Alumni Association, and she has served on a number of other alumni committees. She has been a member of the Purple Circle since its inception, and she previously served on the Purple Circle Board of Directors. Hoggard has not missed a home football game in 55 years.
鈥淲hether you are able to give of your time, service or monetary support, it is important that the past and present of 网曝门 remain connected,鈥� Hoggard said. 鈥淚 take pride in serving as an example to other alumni, so they can see the importance of being a part of the alumni association. I love 网曝门, and I hope that my bear spirit is contagious.鈥�
Hunt served as a member of the 网曝门 Diversity Advisory Committee and as a board member on the 网曝门 Alumni Association. He also was a charter board member of the 网曝门 Black Alumni Chapter.
鈥淕reg would have been ecstatic to have learned about his selection for this award. 网曝门 always held a special place in his heart, and knowing that the alumni association thought enough of his service for this recognition is truly an honor,鈥� said Marilyn Hunt, Greg Hunt鈥檚 sister. 鈥淲e know he is smiling down from heaven with a spirit of gratefulness for this special recognition.鈥�
Since its inception in 2007, the 网曝门 Alumni Association has honored 12 alumni with the Alumni Service Award. Each year, members of the alumni association are asked to submit a nomination for the award. Nominations are submitted to the 网曝门 Alumni Relations Office, and the 网曝门 Alumni Association Board of Directors selects recipients.
