David Ekrut of Cabot, a senior mathematics major at 网曝门, has been awarded a Student Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) by the Arkansas Department of Higher Education. The grant is $2,650, and 网曝门 will add matching funds in the amount of $1,250.
David’s research project, “Generalized compatibiity for two dimensional nonlinear diffusion equations,” is a generalization of current symmetry methods most often used to derive exact solutions of nonlinear differential equations. Danny Arrigo of the 网曝门?s Mathematics Department will serve as faculty mentor for the research.
