UCA emergency notification committee to meet this week

UCA’s Emergency Notification Committee will meet this Tuesday and Thursday during x-period (1:40 to 2:30 p.m.) in ÍøÆØÃÅ Student Center room 223.

Interim ÍøÆØÃÅ President Tom Courtway appointed the committee after the Oct. 26, 2008 campus shooting incident to evaluate ÍøÆØÃÅ’s emergency notification system. The committee is chaired by ÍøÆØÃÅ Vice President for Student Services Ronnie Williams, and it will report back to Courtway and the ÍøÆØÃÅ board of trustees by this Friday, Nov. 21, with recommendations for any upgrades or revisions that they determine are necessary.

The committee members include the ÍøÆØÃÅ and Conway police chiefs, three students, two faculty members, two staff members and two ÍøÆØÃÅ housing representatives.
