The campus community is invited to take part in a day of events on April 9 focused on opioid overdose awareness and prevention. Hosted in partnership with the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office, this initiative highlights the importance of education, prevention, and community action in addressing the dangers of fentanyl.
Throughout the day, students, faculty, and staff will have multiple opportunities to engage, learn, and take action:

Arkansas Drug Take Back Day
11 a.m.-3 p.m.
Student Center Lawn
Safely dispose of unused or expired medications, and help prevent misuse in our community. Free Chick-fil-A will be available while supplies last.

Vaping & Tobacco Awareness Lecture
1:40-2:30 p.m.

Learn more about the health risks associated with vaping and tobacco use.

One Pill Can Kill: Drug Overdose Training
5-6 p.m.
Integrated Health Sciences Building
Gain the knowledge and confidence to recognize and respond to an overdose, including naloxone training. Attendees will receive resources, naloxone, dinner, and more. Register here:
